Wow. I am CRACKING up right now because I just got home from a long day at my new dog grooming job... and my self critic was SO LOUD and quite annoying today LOL. I need to make a point tomorrow to watch the video during my first break! I could have really used this practice today... I will surely use it now. It's funny because it comes from a lack of confidence with grooming certain dogs. Driving home, I was thinking how I am very confident with my dog training work and was thinking how I just haven't found my groove yet at this new salon... so, it is making it very easy for my self critic to get in the way. Your video is reminding me that I need to give myself a break and realise I have not been at this job very long... patience... patience...
Thanks for listening! Wendy ☺
YES, please be kind to yourself - this is a BIG change and I bet you are amazing at it. Growing our confidence in a new environment - especially one that stretches us, does take time. When I started my job working for Katie Hendricks, my perfectionist persona went CRAZY for awhile. It's taken me a little bit to dial that back and remind myself the same thing you said - it was a new position and perfection is not a requirement or even desired! Being real and doing our best is all that is required. :)
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
